ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Hilarie Lloyd, and I'm absolutely obsessed with making soap by hand using natural, local, and/or organic ingredients.  

Do you have a vision of a soap you'd love?  I do lots of custom orders!  I make party favor soaps for birthdays, baby showers, appreciation gifts, weddings, and more.  I've made lots of special soaps for children's birthday parties, including dragon soap cupcakes, sparkling goat soaps, and clear soaps with gemstones inside.  

Many folks want a bigger stock of soap!  Is there a particular soap you absolutely adore?  You can order a whole loaf of soap (10-15 soaps in a loaf) and specify what ingredients you want.  One popular loaf is my natural oatmeal, milk, & honey soap scented with lemongrass essential oil!  I call that one "Honey, Oats, and Goats" and is a wonderful skin-loving natural soap. 

I also teach soapmaking classes.  I've taught private lessons in my soap studio, and also have taught both adult and children's soapmaking classes for events held by the Cancer Support Community (Gilda's Club) in Rochester. 

I'm also finally offering my soap in retail stores!  Currently, you can find my soap in three stores in the Alfred area --  the Canacadea Country Store, the Kindred Collective, and the Little Gem attached to the Wellsville Creative Arts Center.  All three are wonderful stores that support local artists and makers of all kinds!  I especially love the pottery.  Alfred-made pottery goes SO WELL with my soap!
