I have fallen in love with SALT SOAP! Salty Indigo & Kelp Soap is special because it is actually a Soleseife (Brine) Bar, which means that I dissolved Celtic Sea Salt (and indigo) into the base water solution. Salt Water "spa bars” are amazing because they have the benefits of salt soap, but are totally smooth – they aren’t exfoliating or scratchy at all because the salt is completely dissolved! This lovely salt water bar is, like all salt soaps, a hard bar with a lotion-like, luxurious lather.

SALT SOAP: What makes salt – and saltwater – soap so special?
Natural salt has long been a magical ingredient in skincare because of its ability to detoxify, polish, and soften your skin. Two of my favorite kinds of salt to use in soap are Celtic sea salt and Himalayan pink salt. They make for a rock-hard soap bar that produces a dense, creamy lather that feels luxurious. The lotion-like lather from a salt soap makes you feel like you are being pampered at a seaside resort! Salt (and Saltwater) Soaps feel like a “spa day” for your skin.

This Soleseife Saltwater soap is naturally blue and green because I used indigo and green sea kelp for the two layers! Indigo is an amazing plant -- fermenting the juices from indigo leaves produces a natural blue color, from light baby blue to deep denim blue. Ancient civilizations used indigo as a natural colorant for textiles, and indigo also has skin-soothing properties and can leave skin feeling soft and refreshed.

Green Sea Kelp is also a beloved ingredient in the skincare world. Nutrient-rich sea kelp is especially nice in soap because it can leave your skin feeling nourished and refreshed. I also used French Green Clay for the green layer! French Green Clay is one of my favorite natural green colorants because it also makes a silky soap bar that leaves skin feeling smooth.

This Indigo & Sea Kelp Soleseife (Brine) soap is packed with other skin-loving ingredients like raw shea butter, avocado oil, castor oil, and organic unrefined coconut oil. Scented with an essential oil blend of lavender & peppermint, this soap naturally has an herbal minty scent. The soap smells like REAL herbs because it is made with actual distillation and extraction of plants! I’ve been making soap with ONLY essential oils lately. Every essential oil soap celebrates the power of nature.

100% Natural Ingredients: Saponified organic coconut oil, olive oil, raw shea butter, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, castor oil, fine grain Celtic Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan salt, French green clay, indigo, kelp powder, and a blend of lavender & peppermint essential oils.

No two bars are alike, as each is made in small batches and hand-cut. Your soap bar will weigh approximately 3-4 ounces.

Every soap I make is unique, made by hand, and inspired by nature. I love making (and using) this soap, not only because of the earthy, local, and organic ingredients, but because of what is NOT in it. This soap does NOT have harsh detergents, synthetic lathering agents, phthalates, or parabens, which makes it gentle and perfect for sensitive skin.

TIP: To extend the life of your soap, keep it on a draining soap dish and dry it off between uses. If you purchase 5 or more bars, I will give you a free soap dish!
