Dandelion Soap
Dandelion Soap
I love making soap with herbs and flowers I grew, foraged, or bought locally from organic growers. This soap is made with wild dandelion tea as well as oils infused with dandelion blossoms! Scented with lemongrass, bergamot, peppermint, and ylang ylang essential oils, this 100% natural soap smells like a ray of sunshine.
Sometimes maligned as an interloping weed, the common dandelion is actually an amazing plant. Dandelion blossoms can be made into wild dandelion tea, wine, jelly or lemonade. Dandelion leaves are flavorful in salads or in pesto. For this soap, I infused grass-fed organic tallow and organic olive oil with dried dandelion blossoms. I also made this soap with dandelion tea and sunflower oil that I infused with annatto seed, which is known for its skin-soothing properties. I had so much fun making this cheerful and naturally skin-loving dandelion soap, and am excited to offer it to you.
Every soap I make is unique, made by hand, and inspired by nature. This soap is 100% made from natural and/or organic ingredients. I love making (and using) this soap, not only because of the earthy, local, and organic ingredients, but because of what is NOT in it. This soap does NOT have harsh detergents, synthetic lathering agents, phthalates, or parabens, which makes it gentle and nourishing for sensitive skin.
TIP: To extend the life of your soap, keep it on a draining soap dish and dry it off between uses.
No two bars are alike, as each is made in small batches and hand-cut. Your soap bar will weigh approximately 3-4 ounces.
