Honey Cream Lotion Bar

What is a lotion bar? A “solid lotion” bar is made of butters, oils, and beeswax, and will melt when contacting your skin. To use a lotion bar, rub the bar between your hands or against a dry part of your body to create a wonderful salve-like lotion that soothes and moisturizes.

I love making these simple lotion bars because they require no preservatives and are just made with basic earthy and skin-nourishing ingredients. I use beeswax from local beekeepers in Pittsford and Henrietta, NY, and I love the honey scent of these bars! Lotion bars are great for extra moisturizing in the winter. Lotion bars are also awesome for the environment because you aren’t creating plastic bottle waste – the tins these bars come in can be reused over and over!

Ingredients: organic olive oil, shea butter, beeswax, and honey fragrance.
