"Roses at Midnight" Charcoal & Tea Tree Facial Soap

This soap began as a soap frosting experiment and blossomed into a beautiful loaf of soap! The base of this soap is my traditional charcoal & tea tree facial soap. On that glossy black backdrop, I placed roses and leaves piped from soap batter, and added a dash of biodegradable ecoglitter. I love how pretty these bars turned out!

The base of this soap is deeply cleansing, as it includes acne-fighting ingredients such as tamanu oil, activated charcoal, and tea tree oil. Activated charcoal is known for drawing toxins and impurities from the skin, and tea tree oil is naturally antibacterial. This soap could be called an “acne detox soap” and is perfect for those with oily complexions. After washing my face with this soap, I like to follow up with a gentle facial cream, lotion, or serum.

Every soap I make is unique, made by hand, and inspired by nature. This soap is made from natural, local, and/or organic ingredients. I love making (and using) this soap, not only because of the earthy, local, and organic ingredients, but because of what is NOT in it. This soap does NOT have harsh detergents, synthetic lathering agents, phthalates, or parabens, which makes it gentle and nourishing for sensitive skin.

TIP: To extend the life of your soap, keep it on a draining soap dish and dry it off between uses.

No two bars are alike, as each is made in small batches and hand-cut. Your soap bar will weigh approximately 3-4 ounces.
